Flooding is becoming an unending trend in Nigeria today. Its ravaging effect has been witnessed in several states such as Lagos, Suleja in Niger and Benue to mention a few.
On a global scale, hurricanes have been on a journey too. These recent months has recorded names such as Katrina, Irma, Johe and Maria.
These occurrences have all been attributed to two things: climate change and poor infrastructure. While climate change has been top of discussions within economically advanced nations, it appears that the willingness to curtail its harmful effect is absent in some global leaders. We all want to save our environment, but we all need energy to sustain and grow our economies.
The interplay of energy and environment has been traced to its origin called the "Industrial Revolution".
